This is going to be an amazing evening featuring Roberto Villeda on keyboards and an All-Star Sextet lineup including critically acclaimed, award-winning multi-percussionist, Fran Vielma and the incredible Mike Pope on bass. Roberto Villeda is a Guatemalan-born pianist, keyboardist, and composer. He is one of Baltimore’s up-and-coming, must-see musicians. His compositions and arrangements are truly genre-bending, from Jazz, Bossa, and Afro-Latin, to Neo-Soul and Classical music. Roberto Villeda | website A graduate of Towson University, Roberto studied under jazz piano masters Harry Appelman, Tim Murphy, and César Orozco. He’s shared the bandstand with some of the area’s most prominent jazz musicians, including Charles and Kris Funn, Dana Hawkins, Tarus Mateen, and Donvonte McCoy, and he’s performed at the DMV’s premiere venues such as An Die Musik, Twins, Jojo’s, Keystone Korner, and The National Portrait Gallery.
