College Advising Prep is excited to partner with Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL) and CaƱada Junior College to host a Financial Aid Workshop for high school students and their families.
Attend this FREE community event to better understand financial aid options for college, explore scholarship opportunities, and get hands-on assistance in completing the FAFSA and Dream Act applications.
Financial Aid Workshop will be held on Saturday, October 1st, from 10:00am to 12:00pm (PST)
Location is Redwood City PAL, at 3399 Bay Rd, Redwood City, CA 94063
10:00-10:45am: Welcome, financial aid and scholarship information session - Making College Affordable
10:50-12:00pm: Hands-on help with FAFSA and FAFSA PIN, in addition to Dream Act App workshop
Refreshments provided.
Items to bring:
*Social security numbers for student and parents (you do not need a physical card)
*Your driver's license number if you have one
*Your Alien registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen
*2021 tax returns (IRS 1040), including IRS W-2 information, for student and parents (if you are a dependent student)
*Records of your untaxed income, such as child support received, interest income, and veteran non-education benefits, for student and parents (if you are a dependent student)
*Optional - unofficial academic transcript to aid in scholarship search
*Optional - extracurricular activities list
*Optional - personal laptop (computers will be provided if needed)
