Please join our team (HBWC and OC Habitats) on Saturday, September 17th for Coastal Cleanup Day! This is a day where we come together as a community on an international scale to clean our beaches, wetlands, parks, and waterways. For this location at the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy (HBWC) we will meet you in the parking lot, collect your waivers and hand you tools, if you don't have your own. Once you are all checked in, volunteers will be assigned to a location and may be asked to use personal vehicles to carpool to various site(s) within the wetlands. We do request that volunteers carpool if they can and arrive on time (9am) so we can start sending our teams to the various sites. We ask that all participants please fill out the HBWC waiver BEFORE the event, especially if you are a minor (under 18 years old). Bring yourself, a friend, a water bottle, reusable gloves and bags/buckets, trash pick up devices, sunscreen, a hat, and wear closed toed shoes.
