One Book One New Orleans and the Guardians Insitiute are joining forces to finish National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week with a community book giveaway! All are welcome to enjoy snacks, live music by Lloyd Daly, a cultural program presented by the Guardians Insititute, and of course, FREE BOOKS for readers of all ages! The Guardians Institute's programming will include a presentation from Maroon Queen Cherice Harrison-Nelson on the Sankofa Saturday program, a live reading, and the release of the new photograph book "Sankofa Saturday Scholars." Thanks to the Little Free Library nonprofit organization and their Read in Color initiative for providing books for this event.
