Seeking an Assistant Housekeeper to work alongside the Primary Housekeeper 1 full (8hr) day per week (ideally Monday but Wed or Fri are options too) at a private residence on Bainbridge Island. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide an additional set of hands in support of the Primary Housekeeper, and maintain the living environment in a clean and organized manner that supports the Employers’ focus on their work in the fields of social and environmental impact. Duties are centered on hands-on regular and deep cleaning. The ideal candidate will have experience working efficiently and quietly in homes, meticulous attention to detail, be organized and methodical, and an efficient communicator. This position requires an energetic, hardworking individual who can efficiently complete all items on an established checklist of cleaning standards for the property, under the direction of the Primary Housekeeper. The Employers are looking for a team player with a service-oriented focus and a high degree of professionalism. The role requires a thoughtful, intuitive approach to moving throughout the home when the owners are present and a sensitivity to preserving their privacy and respecting their personal space. Interests in nature, yoga, or mindfulness are a plus. This job is at least one and possibly two days a week on Monday, Wednesday, and/or Friday. A background check will be required of all qualified candidates as part of a conditional offer of employment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Hands-on cleaning and organization of residence utilizing a weekly schedule and checklist, covering both regular cleaning and deep cleaning • Change bed linens and make beds • Monitor and re-stock household and personal care supplies • Clean and maintain cat’s room EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing residential house cleaning • Demonstrated experience maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of a private employer • Must have own dependable transportation • West Puget Sound candidates only • Comfortable with pets • Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders for cleaning • Excellent references Please reply to this post with a resume, statement of interest, and how long Google Maps says it takes you to get to Bainbridge Island.
