The Olympia Philatelic Society will hold its 3rd annual open house and stamp-collecting "garage" sale on Saturday September 17 from about 10 a.m. to about 6 p.m. We will meet in our new location at Tumwater Mobile Estates Clubhouse, 930 Trosper Road SW, Tumwater, Washington.
Subscribing to and totally endorsing, as we do, the concept that one person's trash is another person's treasure, whether you are a club member or a non-member, you are invited to bring your excess philatelic material ("Philatelic - adj. - of or pertaining to the collection, organization, and preservation of postal and post office-related materials.") with the intent of selling, trading, or donating it. Several club members have appropriate expertise to help you identify your stamps and to provide a general idea as to market value. Several dealers, their pockets bulging with excess cash, will be present to make you generous offers for your philatelic materials.
Complimentary (Gee, you look great today. No, not that kind of complimentary!) Sodas, cookies, and general junque phood will be made available.
The Clubhouse is located off I-5. Take Exit 102, the Trosper Road exit, then drive about 1.4 mile west, turn right into the Estates, follow the street to a quick left which almost immediately turns right and leads you to the Clubhouse. Park where you can; just don't block anyone's driveway.
