Are you looking for a FUN part-time job one or two days a week? If you love music, singing karaoke, and being in front of an audience, then how about becoming a Karaoke Host? Cutting Edge Entertainment is a multi-op mobile entertainment company providing Karaoke, DJ, Lighting, and Photo Booth services for both private and public events. Our weekly public events are held in different bars and restaurants on a regular basis, so the event that you would be assigned would be the same every week. Our ideal candidate is someone that is comfortable on a microphone and has a fun & outgoing personality. If you’re timid or shy, this isn’t really for you. You must also be able to sing, a little bit! We are not looking for professional singers, but someone that can carry a tune, and wouldn't drive people away with their singing. That would achieve the opposite effect that we're looking to achieve. You MUST also: • Be over the age of 21 • Have a valid Texas Driver's license and a "mostly-clean" driving record. • Be available on Wednesdays, able to arrive our office by 3:30p. Other days are optional. • Be detailed oriented and able to follow instructions. • Possess good customer service skills. We’re in a service industry, so having happy and satisfied clients is a high priority. • Be presentable. You’re at events with all eyes on you, so you must present well. • Be punctual. Being on time is CRITICAL in our business. • Be able to lift heavy equipment. It’s nothing too heavy, just standard sound equipment. • Have your own vehicle (titled in your name), and your own cell phone. It's an added plus if you also have experience speaking in front of an audience. We provide all of the equipment, music, and training, so if you already DJ on your own or have your own equipment, this position is not for you. The pay starts at $13 per hour, plus gratuities, which vary greatly based on performance. Please do NOT apply if you oversleep, have court often, don't have a babysitter, have frequent flat tires, or will be an expert at work with no need to learn or take advice or instruction after your first day.
