T.R.A.P.P.I.N.G out da B.A.N.D.O, a 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, and Fresh Xperience Boxing Academy, a community-based boxing gym, work together to provide local at-risk youth with a forum to succeed physically, academically, and spiritually in order to bring change to the Black community. The gym provides a supportive, inclusive environment for competitive and non-competitive boxers where they can positively channel aggression and negative experiences into healthy, constructive exercise. Program participants develop confidence and self-esteem while learning self-defense and the importance of commitment and hard work. By building character and instilling positive values, program participants develop the qualities of great champions, both in and out of the boxing ring. It is our goal that participants take the positive energy and support fostered inside the gym and apply it at school, the workplace, home life, and in the community. The fundamental principles of the program have created a legacy of champions, producing 6 state and regional titles, 4 national titles, 1 invitational title and 6 nationally ranked amateur boxers. Our Organizations depend on the support of individuals like you to accomplish our work for the gym's youth. With your support, we host and participate in amateur competitions at a local and national level, provide free equipment and safety gear, fund registration fees, medical exams, travel expenses, and more. Right now, we are working on obtaining government and private grants to expand the types of services and interventions we can offer our youth…from upgrades to the facility and gym equipment, to a broad spectrum of professionals and community partners focused on providing outreach, interventions, and skill-building. We are dedicated to the improvement of the community and advancement of our youth.
