Description

THE HISTORY: Twenty years ago, Elliot Jablonsky contacted guitarist George Cunningham regarding a band to play on Monday nights at his restaurant, Tink's, in Clifton. Elliot said, “I’m thinking David Grisman.” George replied, “I’m thinking Django Reinhardt.” On September 30, Faux Frenchmen, which featured George and Brian Lovely on guitar, Don Aren on bass, and Karen Addie on violin (Paul Patterson joined within two years) played their first gig. And... as they say, the rest is history! Soon thereafter, a group that started as a fun Monday night gig became a popular and award-winning recording and performing musical force in Cincinnati, and later throughout the Eastern and Midwestern U.S. Join us at the historic Liberty Exhibition Hall to celebrate the Faux Frenchamn, their iconic sound, and twenty years of hot jazz.
