The party starts with a FREE beginner swing dance lesson at 7pm, followed by three hours of live BIG BAND jazz from 8pm. The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra – featuring Deborah Stafford - is a traditional 18-piece BIG BAND that authentically recreates the romance and excitement of the Swing-Era, with dance music by Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, and more. Composed of the region’s most outstanding professional musicians, and one of the finest jazz singers in the country, this music will have everyone on their feet.
