Description

Hello Year Up Alumni! The Year Up Boston Alumni Board would like to invite you to the Year Up/Duet Alumni Event on September 30th! This event will be a great opportunity to socialize with your fellow Alumni, but also learn how to earn a SNHU degree fast and in an affordable manner through Duet. Over 150 Year Up Alumni have already worked towards earning SNHU degrees through Duet, and we would love for you to learn more about joining this community! The event will start at the Duet Offices (50 Milk Street, Boston, MA 02110) at 6:45 PM on 9/30. After a brief program at the Duet Offices, we will walk over together to Elephant and Castle which is down the street for networking! Drink tickets, food and the opportunity to win raffle prizes will be available for registered Year Up alumni attendees. An exciting note is that Duet provides access to Year Up Alumni exclusive scholarships that help cover the cost of the program when enrolling at SNHU through Duet, and more about the scholarship opportunity will be explained at the event. Here is a link to register: Please see below for additional information regarding the Duet program, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions! Best, Year Up Boston Alumni Board Duet is a college advising nonprofit that partners closely with Southern New Hampshire University (SHNU) to provide a faster, more flexible, and more affordable way to get a college degree. At SNHU through Duet, students gain access to project-based Associates and Bachelors degree pathways and complete projects on their own schedule as opposed to sitting in classes. It’s a unique college model built for working adults and those who have many priorities in their lives, but who also want to dedicate time to attaining their degree. It’s also the lowest-cost college option in New England, just $2,332 a term, and you can use federal financial aid to pay for it if you qualify. Duet's team of professional coaches assist students 1:1, supporting them every step of the way from getting enrolled, supporting them through their coursework, and building their resume to prepare them for the job market. So far, Duet has worked with over 1,200 students in the New England area and has helped hundreds earn AA and BA degrees at SNHU.
