The National Association of Black Social Workers Inc. (NABSW) is a nonprofit organization comprised of degreed and non-degreed social work and human service professionals and community leaders dedicated to promoting social change and justice. In addition, we are dedicated to the human development of African people here in the United States and throughout the world. The Buffalo Chapter (BABSW) was conceived in 1968 as a vehicle for change to advocate, support, and nurture the Black community in Western New York. BABSW is awarding scholarships to assist individuals attending college in Western New York. We provide scholarships to well qualified applicants of African descent based on professional goals, academic achievement and financial need. The recipient must be currently enrolled and attending an accredited college or university in Western New York or must have graduated from a MSW program in Western New York and seeing licensure. In the spirit of umoja, please join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship. Time: 1pm - 4pm Address: 11 E.
