Description

Facilitated by Erin Geesaman Rabke, Somatic Naturalist and Embodiment Mentor 5 CEUs for Utah Mental Health Professionals In this workshop, we’ll take a journey through a healing spiral: gratitude, grief, seeing anew and going forth; by working with embodied practices. The day will include guided embodiment, writing practice, a communal ritual, an opportunity to connect in small groups, a community circle, and of course, there will be gorgeous poetry woven throughout. I deeply believe in the power of an intentional community coming together to practice movement and stillness, quiet and connection, inviting our love and gratitude, inviting the difficult guest of grief, and, having been tenderized by those wise guests, freshly visioning how we might bring our unique gifts to co-create the more beautiful world we wish to see manifest. As Francis Weller says, "This is the solitary work that we cannot do alone." What I won’t do in this gathering is stand in front of you and talk and talk and feed you a bunch of information as if I’m the expert on what you need. What I will do is invite your fully embodied presence, the wisdom and the concerns, the blessings and the aches, the gratitudes and burdens, the hopes, dreads, visions, creative inspirations, and unique gifts to come more clearly into awareness so they can offer their wise guidance. You'll have an opportunity to share in a supportive community where it will all be met with respect, care and encouragement. We’ll take enlivening, fresh perspectives on what's unfolding in our lives by seeing with new eyes, and we’ll invite clarity to emerge to guide us as we return to our life, renewed, embodied, and inspired to begin again, going forth at least half a shade braver.
