The East River is an iconic waterway and feature of New York City. Help us build our database of the species of the river through community science angling. All are welcome, whether it's your first time fishing or you're a professional angler. Instruction, bait, and tackle will be provided. This will be catch and release fishing only. Participants under 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. If this is your first time fishing, you are encouraged to arrive as close to the starting time as possible so you don't miss important instructions for using the rod and reel. Please note meeting location: We will meet on the promenade at this location. It is along the water near the southern end of the track. The closest park entrance is the footbridge at 6th street.
