Description

Nearly 200,000 Michigan residents aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s disease. It is critical that clinical research studies are inclusive to best assure the safety and effectiveness of investigative medicines. Global pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company will be **bringing mobile research units to the greater Detroit area for a second time.** Attendees of the Birmingham Street Art Fair aged 65 years and older will have the opportunity to undergo a free blood screening on Sept. 17-18th at Shain Park to see if they’re at risk for Alzheimer’s disease and to potentially be enrolled in an ongoing clinical trial. These mobile research units were created to **make clinical trials for Alzheimer’s disease accessible to everyone.
