Garfield Community Farm Fall Benefit

We had over 125 people participate in our Fall Benefit last year, and look forward to seeing many of you again. Appetizers this year will be provided by local chefs, including Veggies N’at, Garfield. Beer will be provided from local brewers, with wine and other drink options included. Our art auction will be led again by Garfield artist Tim Engelhardt and will include other local artists too. Thanks to supporters like you, GCF has much to celebrate this year! We have discerned it’s time to broaden leadership and grow by incorporating as our own non-profit in 2023. We’ve also been blessed with record numbers of participants in programming at the farm this year. This summer was our busiest ever, with over 1,000 visitors or participants at the farm. About half of these farm users belong to a marginalized group and most are youth.  They enjoy the farm in different ways: many come to volunteer or participate in educational programming, and other use the space to gather, tour, or host a neighborhood event.  We look forward to sharing more about the impacts of the farm in remarks at eight and inviting you to support this tremendous work.
