Supreme Release Yoga, SRY, is a slow deliberate practice designed to release the tensions of the spine. This release has an effect on the entire body and is truly transformative for the mind. Whether you are a long time practitioner or you've never done a single pose, you are welcome to SRY.
In this class you will learn the basic four postures of SRY (Supreme Release Yoga). These are all you need for a full spinal release (the rest is just icing on a really relaxed cake!). Postures are held for 5-8 minutes and need only minimal arm strength to be done. Class is open to all and is appropriate for almost all people. Variations will be provided to accommodate different bodies and challenges. Class is not appropriate for those who can not lie on their back with legs elevated for extended periods of time. A chair and bolsters will be provided. Please feel free to bring extra blankets or pillows if you like to be very supported. Wear comfortable clothes and be ready to relax completely!
