Looking for customers of Peoples Gas company in illinois who have been impacted by a sudden gas shutoff after Having paid minimum and being told they were enrolled in a monthly payment plan. Also how long a time was it before you could get gas turned on? Just to let you know Peoples Gas was bought by WEC aka We Energy company based in Milwaukee and other towns in wisconsin. Now there are no offices for Peoples Gas in Illinois. Plus it has a monopoly for biz in chicago and while you can get another supplier, it must be distributed And paid Thru Peoples. All calls for service are taken remotely by agents. The agents assistance in requesting minimal payments and stating you are on a payment plan is not reliable nor trusthworthy. Please contact me re.
