Styles i love: post rock, melodic jazz, downtempo chill ambient,70s and 80s retro, trance and dubstep, all types of rock, brit space rock like u2, floyd, radiohead, travis, keanne, snow patrol, muse, jeff buckly,deep purple,etc.. I love metallica and neo classical metal like yngwie and macalpine, I love dark moody emotional pop, or r and b with lots of soul and mmmph like mariah carey, alicia keys,(songs like genie in a bottle or my all)etc... as you can see I want to put a band together that doesnt just do the same type of music for 10 songs straight. I want all the songs extremely different and awesome. hi guys im looking to start a variety of types of bands, with the sole intention of making a killer demo and trying to sell the songs somehow with placement or as a publishing deal and or as a band. where the primary focus would be on recording but also gigging as well.tho my intention isnt to play a million gigs, if we get some really good opportunities that that would be great and worth everyones time but not just doing shitty no pay bar gigs. heres a link to the page of what ive done over the past 20 years and see if you jive with my style. if you do hit me up and maybe lets jam and see where it goes, if anywhere. https://soundcloud.com/drsolo ps I have access to a world famous audio engineer/producer who can mix and edit us for pennies on the dollar. hes my old best friend and still one of my best friends.hes done 15 years of pro industry engineering and never made a song that didnt sound radio ready! I can send some links to his work as well if we click. what I dont want to be apart of : death metal, rap, hip hop, country, girly pop,or jazzturbation (you know what i mean) tho i do love some jazz, the melodic and groovy kind. I also know quite a few stellar musicians but theyre all waiting for the right people which is why iM here. to find you!. you must be at minimum an intermediate player (with at least 6 solid years of playing under your belt) and hopefully you play more than 1 instrument well. I play all the rock instruments well so I can sub for anyone at any time.I can sing a little but im looking for a killer singer/s if female or male or both, drummer, 2nd guitarist(someone to specialize in textures like radiohead or post rock) keyboardist, bassist, sax/flute, etc... I just want to make great music and not be limited to one style or image. as I tend to play all the styles other than the ones mentioned. and hope you love lots of different type of music too!> please send demos of your playing. if you are an engineer or producer that is even better!
