Description

African pygmy what??? Haha they look cool, huh? Almost like a small sugar gliders in appearance, but not in relation. These are small nocturnal rodents out of Africa that are just the bees knees! Although nocturnal, they are super active at night and are really fun to watch once they get going. They live in colonies in the wild so it's important I sell them all together. I have two females and one male. The females are sisters and are under a year old, the male I bought from a separate source and he is visually pied (white tail). They will have roughly 1-2 litters a year with anywhere from 1-4 babies per litter. They're fruit, nut/seed, and insects eaters. They can't digest fibers in plant matter so no vegetables for these guys. A typical night's food over here for them looks like - Unsalted walnuts, unsalted pumpkin seeds, millet mix for finches, dried insects, berries of some variety. These are easy and cheap to obtain. They also eat sap in the wild so to simulate that you can offer a mix of bee pollen, honey, and organic natural maple syrup, all of which I can provide. They drink water out of a dish. Outside of that just don't let them get below 70°, they can go into a state of shock and potentially pass away! Mid 70's to low 80's is a good temp for them. These are really fun to watch, and a cool exotic rodent to say you own. I am asking 500 obo for the trio and their enclosure! Any questions feel free to reach out.
