Please spread the word that ALL pet moms and dads are invited to bring their dogs, cats, or whatever, to my church’s annual Blessing of the Animals. It is being held at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church at 2537 Game Farm Road, Springfield, on Sunday, October 2nd at 12:00 noon in our parking lot. Games and free gifts for the kids, fun music about pets, refreshments for animals and their people. Raffle of pet items at no cost. All free. In addition, we will take a picture of your pet and you, and we’ll send it via email. Each animal will get a personal blessing with his or her name mentioned, and you will receive a certificate marking the occasion. We’d love it if as many animals and their people as possible could join us. If you have questions, please ask.
