WHO: Registered voters in the State of Connecticut. WHAT: Online (Virtual) Focus Group conducted via Zoom on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. PURPOSE: We are seeking opinions from Connecticut registered voters regarding several matters, to include but not limited to, legal cases. INCENTIVE: $75.00 for three hours of active participation. IMPORTANT CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: 1. To prevent fraudulent participants, you will be required to provide your full name, date of birth, and town or city of voter registration so your registration status can be verified. Applications submitted that do not contain this information will be rejected. 2. You must have a stable and fast internet connection capable that permits you to participate in a Zoom meeting via computer with a video camera and microphone. Your internet connection will be tested for stability and clarity in the first 15 minutes of the Focus Group and if it is unstable and/or your audio/video is unclear you will be removed from the group and not be paid. Your video must remain on the entire time of the focus group. 3. You must log in on time. There is a 5-minute grace period. After that you will not be permitted entry, and you will not be paid. 4. If you disconnect from the meeting re-entry is discretionary by the moderator. If you are denied re-entry, you will not be paid. 5. You must be in a quiet place where you are not distracted or create distractions for the group. If you are unable to abide by this, please do not apply as we will remove anyone violating this condition, and you will not be paid. 6. You must participate by interacting with group. If the moderator determines you are not actively participating you will be reminded of this requirement and, if active participation does not improve, you will be removed from the group by the moderator, and you will not be paid. 7. You cannot leave early. If you leave early, you will not be paid. 8. You must have an active United States based PayPal or Venmo account. This is the only way we can pay and if you are not properly set up in one of these platforms you will not be paid. If you apply, please make sure you are properly set up to receive money. If your PayPal or Venmo account is not U.S. based, you will not be paid. IF SELECTED: your voter registration in Connecticut will be verified and you will receive a confidentiality agreement via a virtual document signing app. This confidentiality agreement must be completed no later than 48 hours prior to the focus group. You will receive a Zoom video conference link 24 hours in advance of the focus group provided the confidentiality agreement is returned. WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I AM SELECTED? If you do not hear back from us within 72 hours from the focus group, this means you were not selected.
