NEEDED: Compassionate Person with Automobile Electrical Expertise. Do You Know About Jeep Electrical Systems? I have an 2008 Jeep Liberty with Electrical Door Lock Problems! THE PROBLEM: Three of the four doors unlock with the Key Fab (and/or the drivers-side control unlock button; L/D, R/P, R/R, Left rear does not unlock, except manually). When the LOCK button is pushed on the Key Fab (or the drivers-side control button), none of the doors lock. The rear-lift-gate door will unlock with both the Key Fab and the drivers-side control button but only will lock manually. So, the 3 doors (R/D, L/P & R/R & liftgate) UNLOCK automatically (when unlock buttons are pushed but none of the doors LOCK, except for manually. THE SITUATION: I am an 80 year old retired gentleman (living in a HUD building) who had my Jeep blow up last year and had to junk it. Since, I have had to borrow a neighbors car (when ever I needed to go to the store, a doctor’s appointment or to church). A kind- hearten family just gave me a 2008 Jeep and I would like to have the door lock problem fixed. If you could/would help me salve this problem I would be most appreciative. The SOLUTION: Locate an automotive electrician, with diagnostic equipment or the experience/expertise and knowledge & motivation to help me fix the problem. I will buy required parts.
