AURORA, IL — A New Year's Eve shooting on the East Side of Aurora killed one man and sent another to the hospital, police said. Officers were called around 9 p.m. Thursday to the 1300 block of Dearborn Avenue, where they found a large group of people near two men who were suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. One man was pronounced dead later that night, while the other was listed in stable condition, according to police, who have not yet identified the man who was killed. Police said the men were driving over the Farnsworth Avenue bridge when they were shot, before coming to a stop in the 1300 block of Dearborn Avenue.
