Guitarist looking to start a heavy jam band

I'm a guitarist in my 40s. Outstanding lead and rhythm chops, pro gear, full PA, very knowledgeable about theory, composition, and recording. I'm looking to start a heavy jam band in the vein of King Crimson, Umphrey's McGee, Liquid Tension Experiment, Crazy Horse, Primus, Mastodon, etc. with the goal of writing songs and gigging locally ASAP. I have a drummer I play with regularly who may be interested, but drummers should still feel free to respond as he's pretty busy. We'll definitely need bass and either keys or another guitar (or both). Vocals are a plus for everybody, but not a requirement for anybody...I can sing, but a lot of folks can sing better than I can. I'm not a tyrant and I don't want to be one. I'd like this to be fully democratic and friendly, but with some amount of commitment to rehearsal and playing out. I don't care about your age, gender identity, appearance, or really anything other than that you can play, love good music, can be reliable, and want to gig.
