My D-I-L still loves Biden

My son and his wife are basically Socialists. They don't think people should be allowed to own property. They believe there should be some "cap" on wealth, nobody should be allowed to be a 'Billionaire', that's too much money for one person. They believe the government should control all the land and all the money in the country. Basic Socialism or Communism. In early November 2020, just a few days after Biden was elected, I had a heated argument with my daughter-in-law. After Biden got elected, I said something like 'we're screwed now'. She immediately got in my face and said things will be a LOT BETTER with Trump gone. I repeated my line; 'I still think we're screwed.' She got REALLY MAD and said again: "Things are going to be a LOT BETTER under Biden, you wait and see !!". Well, here we are almost 2 years later, Biden has been in office less than 20 months and guess what: We're SCREWED. My son and daughter-in-law are now struggling to make ends meet, trying to feed 2 kids, paying for rent, groceries and gas to get to work. As a father, I'm thankful that they at least work, bring home a paycheck and make an attempt to lead a normal, productive life, they're not on welfare However, for more than a year now, they have been asking me for money to get by every month. It's usually $200 to $300 per month which I can afford to give them, but I have to say they didn't need any financial help 2 years ago. They're probably into me for $5,000 or so by now, which is OK with me, as long as I can afford it and not end up starving myself. Even though I've been generous by helping them, and even though I have been quiet and never mention Biden's multitude of failures, my daughter-in-law hasn't spoken to me in 2 years. She won't even come over to pick up the money I loan them, she sends my son to get it every time. Thankfully, he brings the grandkids, so I at least get to see them once in a while. I'm not sure if she's not speaking or interacting with me because she's totally embarrassed because she was SO WRONG about Biden, or maybe she's like a lot of other Democrats who like to blame Trump and 'maga' for everything that's wrong with this country right now, even though he hasn't been in office for 2 years. According to my son, she still stands by her conviction that Biden is better than Trump, no matter what. She'd still vote for Biden, even now. I suppose as long as I'm relieving the financial pain Biden is inflicting on her, my daughter-in-law can live in peace. It's funny, but my daughter-in-law is borrowing money from a man she hates over politics, but she has no problem taking my money. I heard a long time ago, that Socialism works great until you run out of other people's money. That may be true, judging from my experience.
