**EITHER STOP FLAGGING, OR HELP OUT AND TELL ME WHAT RESCUES WILL TAKE HER! YOU ARE NOT HELPING THIS DOG BY FLAGGING MY POST!** This is Bonnie! She's a 2-2.5yo female Bully/Rottweiler mix, or so we've been told. She's a sweet girl, but unfortunately, she's too much work for me. We received her for free from her previous owners, but it just isn't working out. Because she is high energy and has a high prey drive, her rambunctious behavior is putting my 19m old son at risk of serious injury from jumping/rough play/mouthing/nipping. She has bitten me (not just a nip), and keeps nipping at my son's arms to where she has broken skin. She is also chasing my 4yo cat constantly, to the point that my cat is stressed out. I have tried positive reinforcement, distraction, and diversion to get her to leave my cat alone. It's not working, and I'm not experienced enough to deal with her issues. I'm worried she will hurt my cat if she ever catches her. She's a good girl, but she requires more training than I can provide for her. She's (mostly) housebroken, but needs to be crated at night because she's still prone to accidents. She would probably do better with older kids or adults. She is a very social dog, though. She's been good with greeting other (medium/large) dogs on walks, but previous owners said she did not get along with their 4 other dogs (their reason for rehoming), so she will need to be an only dog in the home. I do not recommend her to be around cats or small animals. She knows sit and paw, but is stubborn or will ignore you when it comes to obeying other commands. She also needs work with walking on a leash, as she pulls hard and will try to chase small animals. Once she's fixated on something, she is nearly unmovable. She needs someone with experience with her breed(s). She is NOT spayed, and NEEDS to get UTD on shots. The previous owners admitted that they did not take her to the vet at all in the 2 years that they owned her. They got her puppy shots, and that's it. We fully intended to get her vetted/spayed, but this is now an issue of safety for my son, as she approached him and snarled at him yesterday while he was sitting in the hall, playing with his toy. He wasn't even near her. I have been trying to train her on my own, but she doesn't listen to me and my fiance is always working. The only reason I'm posting this is because shelters/rescues are filled to the brim right now. The previous owners said they would take her back if they HAD to, but asked me to find her another home on my own. I'm doing this because I have no other options. Asking a rehoming fee to ensure she will go to a good home, and won't be used for breeding/fighting. I'll also include her food, toys, crate, dog bowls, leashes, and harness. You can message me anytime for more info.
