We are a group of string harp players who get together in Springfield once a month, on a Saturday, to play music. We're pretty open to what people bring to the group to play. We nurture an encouraging and non-judgmental atmosphere. Usually our meetups take the form of playing a piece of music together, and then having a "circle" during which individual members play a tune for the other members. A member can always "pass" if they don't feel like performing. If you'd like to join us, or just see what our group is like, you need to: 1) own a harp that you can bring to meet ups; and 2) have a basic ability to play the harp by reading simple sheet music. We meet in a church off the quadrangle in Springfield. The group itself has no particular religious orientation-for example, the writer of this ad does not belong to the church, or practice it's faith.
