CULVER CITY, CA — Culver City officials notified residents that the South Outboard Runway at Los Angeles International Airport would be closed from Monday to Wednesday between 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. The change in aircraft operations was expected to cause a potential delay in commencing over-ocean operations. The city routinely updates residents on runway closures. "This information is intended to help promote public awareness and understanding of aircraft noise issues that may temporarily affect residential areas," officials wrote on the city's website.
