Each year, First Responder Departments compete for the coveted title of Broken Bow Brewery Chili Champion, possession of the traveling Chili Cook-Off trophy for the following year (think Stanley Cup) and an engraved Wooden Spoon to be displayed proudly with those earned by previous champions on our Pillar of Fame. All funds raised through a combination of chili ticket sales and $1 from every pint sold during the event are donated back to the community. The 2022 beneficiary will be The Ray Pfieffer Foundation. This foundation, started by FDNY First Responders following 9/11, continues to assist First Responders with medical needs not covered by insurance. The first 150 people to purchase tickets will receive a commemorative Broken Bow Brewery Charity Chili Cook-Off chili mug!
