Goal: You will leave with your SLO written and ready to submit for approval by your administrator. In just over two hours, you will receive a short primer on what Student Learning Objectives are, how they are used to measure student growth, how they factor into your performance evaluation, how to align an assessment to your SLO, and other best practices surrounding the SLO process. This training is designed for anyone who is new to teaching, new to the district or state, or for teachers who would like a refresher. Preparation for the Training: Bring along a laptop or tablet computerDecide which class/course your SLO will focus onMake sure you have access to your student list who will be included in the SLOIf you've already given a pre-assessment or a district-purchased standardized assessment (MAP, NWEA, STAR, etc.) bring along the scores, for your personal use.If you haven't given the assessment yet, bring along the assessment you would like to use or would like to adapt for use.Participants will receive a 2 hour CEU certificate upon completion of the training.
