NOCCA Drama Department offers a workshop for students grades 8-11th. Classes are open to all ability levels. Free Registered students take part Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 PM | November 1-December 15. No class meeting week of November 21-25. Participating students are asked to commit to all class meetings. Introduction to NOCCA Drama will allow students to split their time between improvisation and acting. In improv classes, students will learn the basics of comedy, hone their listening skills, learn to collaborate and practice being in the moment. In acting, we will engage in acting exercises and take them through the process of developing an audition monologue - from finding material, to text analysis, rehearsal and performance. Participation in the workshop does not guarantee admittance into any regular program offered by NOCCA.
