September 11: A Day of Remembrance and Service Graffiti Removal at Solstice

Volunteers are invited to join us and help remove graffiti from the park infrastructure such as signage, bridges, trashcans, and bathrooms. Our park staff and visitors will be grateful for all your hard work and dedication! The vibrant colors clash with the earth tones and don’t nearly reflect the natural electric skies. Participants must be 18 years or older due to the handing of chemicals. Help us care for Solstice Canyon as we remove graffiti from signs and benches, and pick up litter. Solstice is one of our most visited sites, lets show it a little love. Volunteers should be prepared to stand for over an hour and be exposed to the weather (sun, wind, rain, etc) for extended periods of time. Please come prepared with proper outdoor working attire (long pants, hat, closed-toed shoes/boots), water, sunscreen, and snacks. *Be advised clothing may be damaged during graffiti removal due to paint transfer*. Gloves and proper protective personal equipment will be provided. Training will be given at the start of the event. Directions: From the PCH, take Corral Canyon Rd, 76 Gas station at this intersection. Go approximately 0.17 miles and turn left to enter Solstice Canyon. Drive to the end where there is a parking lot and Pavilion. This is where we will meet.
