Event venue in Miami Beach is looking to hire a handyman/cleaning person who is willing to commit Monday thru Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM and who meets the following responsibilities:
Clean the facility by sweeping, mopping, dusting, arranging furniture, etc.
Moving of furniture, and stage decks as needed
Perform maintenance and light repairs
Perform routine landscaping on the grounds
Paint and fill gaps or crevices
Undertake light installation and repairs
Small repair of equipment or appliances
Keep kitchen and tools equipment clean
Prepare facility for a show to prospective clients
Assist tradespeople with repairs
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
Identify and report the need for major repairs
Other as may be required by management
Requirements
Must speak English
Proven experience as a handyman
Strong character for supervision
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
Basic math skills
Good communication ability
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
Attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
The pay rate is $25 per hour as W-2 or 1099 (tax form will be issued at the end of the year)
