Hello, my 2 young sons and I lost our 10 year old dog in May. I thought I’d never want a dog again as I couldn’t bear to go through such a loss again. However, my heart is telling me I need a new baby to love. We have pet insurance, and enough money to feed and care for them. But I cannot afford any crazy rehoming fees. We would like a puppy because we have 2 cats and want them to grow up being okay with them. Smaller breeds are more of what we are looking for, but we are not picky about exact breeds.
