We have A 1.5 yr old Rottie/Staffie/Mastiff mix dog available to the right home. She is not in any danger of going to the pound or dumped off anywhere- I simply wish to see if there is a home out there more suited to her needs. She is: Fully housebroken/crate trained overnights- at about 8:30 she is ready for one last run outside then will come in and put herself to bed fine with bunnies, cats, kittens (when supervised!), chickens, ducks, and other large dogs, as well as older children and goats Susceptible to fleas and needs a well-balanced diet to prevent skin issues capable of sticking close to her front door and has great recall with her name a genuine cave dog who needs a quiet kennel to retreat to when tired or scared As with all living beings, she also has tendencies that some might not like as well. For example- she hates being left alone and will bark and cry while you are gone. She has never been an only dog and needs a more "alpha" dog personality to bond with. She has never been leash trained- she goes outside to do her business then comes back, ready to eat! She will also try to chase cyclists on the road if left to her own devices. Health-wise she is susceptible to fleas and does well on a high moisture diet- very little dry kibble. She is not spayed nor has she been vaccinated for rabies- our two other mastiffs have had serious adverse reactions to it in the past, which resulted in aggressive behavior as well as skin issues. In all she is a great companion dog. We are home with her nearly 24/7, and she is quite used to be jumped all over by young kids and lots of loud, unexpected noises in a small space!
