Description

The Maintenance Technician will work with a team to maintain all production equipment and minimize downtime. This will include working with equipment for ground beef production, steak cutting, cooked and cured meat processing, and packaging. The Production Maintenance Technician will include troubleshooting and completing repairs, completing routine maintenance, coordinating, and documenting work done by outside contractors and vendors, and installing new equipment. This position will work in a variety of areas of maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electronics. An ideal candidate would have some experience in maintenance with food production equipment. Strong problem-solving skills will be needed. A safety-first attitude and the ability to work with other employees, managers, and outside contractors is a must. This position will primarily be Monday – Friday, but may require some weekends, to complete repairs and routine maintenance. Assume other duties as assigned. Job Type: Full-time 2nd Shift Hours: 11:30am-8pm (Monday-Friday) Qualifications: Associates degree related to mechanical, electrical or electronics or 3+ years of food production maintenance or other relevant experience preferred. Able to work with computers, including inventory software, database and other systems Good organizational skills, time management, and mathematical skills. Able to lift 50lbs occasionally. Able to work in hot temperatures and cold temperatures. Hard working Dependable and reliable Excellent oral and written communication skills Flexible and open to change Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment. Able to learn quickly, embrace responsibility and accept accountability. Valid driver’s license Job Tasks/Responsibilities- Ability to safely operate power tools. Troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues. Routine maintenance for proper upkeep of equipment Replacement of blades, belts, and other parts as needed. Communicating with managers and employees on repairs and issues. Coordinating outside maintenance, including researching options, receiving quotes, and scheduling repairs and maintenance work, reviewing and approving invoices, and documenting and tracking maintenance work completed. Liaise with warehouse, management on additional projects.
