Looking for a volunteer opportunity that is fun and rewarding? Join our Volunteer team! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. We need volunteers for the following positions... Caller: Volunteers are needed to help call Burien Meals on Wheels participants for their weekly order on Wednesday mornings, 9 am - 11 am. We’re looking for someone available long-term. Training will be provided. Delivery Driver: Volunteers are needed to deliver meals in Burien on Wednesday mornings. Drivers pick up meals at our site in Burien between 10:30 am - 11 am and are typically done with their route in 1 - 1.5 hours. We're also in need of back-up drivers to fill in on occasion, as needed. Training is provided and mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries. Are you typically available Wednesday mornings and interested in one of these volunteer opportunities?
