Wookie the yorkie

Description

We have a yorkie/carne terrier (3/4 yorkie-1/4 carne terrier) “Wookie” who will be two in December. He is neutered. He is very healthy, spunky, happy and interactive. He is perfectly potty trained and non destructive. He loves everything and everyone - however, upon meeting anyone (people, animals etc) he becomes overly stimulated due to lack of socialization. He also gets territorial because he is insecure. When I say overly stimulated I mean he goes from kissing to intense barking. He is definitely needing expert management. You may think you understand yorkie “yapping” but he takes it to a whole other level. It’s a lot to handle. When he is secure in his own environment he is the sweetest little guy ever. He loves music, playing with balls and running around in the yard. We are looking for someone who REALLY understands about little dogs and their issues- and REALLY knows how to deal with his sensitivity - because he is an extremely sweet and loving dog under the right conditions. He needs a stable home where he won’t be left alone all the time. I think the best situation would be no other pets. He loves kind children - but not toddlers (who can be rough) He needs a new home with someone who is not sedentary but active enough to play with him. He weighs about 9 pounds. We are not asking a fee - only the best home to suit his needs. We want the person to understand that Wookie will need a commitment from his new owner. We can’t have him “returned” to us just because someone wants a free yorkie but doesn’t get that there is no fee due to the understanding that he needs special care, patience and loving attention.
