Description

I have a 1 year 6 month old Spayed female Pitbull Terrier. She was originally adopted from the east valley maricopa animal shelter in June 2022. I got her extremely under weight and unhappy, she was due to be put down. Fast forward three months and a vet visit later: She is extremely healthy and the perfect weight (63lbs). Her name is Nelly. Nelly has been tested for worms and heart complications and came back clean. She has NO underlying health conditions. Reason for the ad: Im going to be extremely honest. Nelly demands a lot of time and attention. She displays separation anxiety and will chew all of my shit. Ive tried giving her limited space to roam around while im away, ive tried giving her full access to the house, ive tried repellent sprays for furniture and possessions and nothing has worked. Nothing. I can leave for an 8 hr workday and she will be completely fine sometimes. But then ill leave for an hour and come back to my shit chewed. Aside from the chewing she needs to be constantly stimulated. Her current walk/play schedule is: 5am 2 mile walk, 6:30am, 10:30,2:30,5:30,7:30 she gets to play in the backyard. This is still not enough to ease her energy. She also has brain puzzles to keep her busy. About me: 24, frat dude, working a ton and traveling for my job. I simply cannot commit the amount of time and energy Nelly needs. I love dogs, Nelly would be my 6th pitbull over the years and it makes me feel like a dickhead giving her up. But ive reached my capacity and I cannot give her the environment and attention she needs to thrive. Ive included her before and after pictures for reference. Nelly had made a ton of improvement since she was adopted. Before, she could not be around men, she was extremely reactive on walks and very difficult to control. Her barking was really aggressive and constant. Now, she has become a true lap dog and loves humans. She gets along really well with my current male roommates. Unfortunately neither of them are able to adopt her for me. So that leaves me here, if youve read all this and think you can give Nelly a good home and all the chill vibes hit me up. I want to see her continue to thrive and live a really long life. Surrendering her back to the shelter would put her on the euthanasia list which i dont want. I will throw in all her possessions: Dog bed, automatic dog feeder, water bowls, dog toys, dog carriage (included in photo), and all dog food/snacks i currently have. **Also, she has been around other dogs and does well with them (photo included)**
