The Position: We are looking for a full-time door installer with extensive experience in commercial construction and installing commercial coiling and/or high-speed doors. Those with sectional door experience only need not apply. Compensation: We are a Union Company and utilize UBC 1503 for our field labor. If you are already in the Carpenters Union, you would be paid at the appropriate wage per your standing. If you are not in the Union, you would enter as a carpenter’s helper. The current carpenter’s helper wage is $28/hr. After working 500 hours as a carpenter’s helper you would be eligible for full Union benefits. For reference, the current Journeyman base (take home) wage is $44.80/hr. With benefits the journeyman wage is $81.70/hr. Location: Our Oregon City, Oregon office. Job Description: Install commercial and industrial doors in construction projects throughout Oregon. Support and train with established installers and work toward a crew lead position. Much of our business is in the Portland Metro area but travel out of town to Eugene, Medford, Bend, etc. is often required. There are overtime opportunities throughout the year but 5-8s Monday-Friday is typical.
