Description
Hi there! I've had some availability open up with the new season so I'm here to offer my services as a "pet sitter" Really what I prefer to do is come in and take care of routines while homesteaders are away. I am comfortable with creepy crawlies, livestock, snakes/reptiles/amphibians, rodents, large high energy dogs, small nervous aggressive dogs, cats, etc. You show me how you like things done in your home/farm/garden and I'll continue your system while you are away. Also, I have a couple dogs of my own and I live on a fenced in half acre with a dog door. I can board dogs and caged animals at my place if you're comfortable and don't want to have to pay me to commute to your place. My day rate is obviously cheaper if I don't have to travel daily. My fee depends on the job. We can work out an hourly and I'll clock in and out with a text and photo updates everyday, or we can do a flat day rate that takes into consideration the distance between your home and mine (I'm in Geneva neighborhood) as well as about how much time it takes to complete everything while I'm there. I also love gardening and taking care of plants, I don't mind getting dirty and staying on top of the weeding. Speaking of weeds, it's worth mentioning that I am 420 friendly but everyone's system is different. I'd prefer not be responsible for anything like that long term, I certainly could however keep an eye and provide updates for a short period of time (less than a week?). Feel free to contact me with any questions, I have references available and you can read on for my experience. . . . . . . . A bit about me: I'm 31f and I grew up on 5+ acres to young parents that didn't know how to tell me no when I wanted a new pet. We had horses, chickens, cows, pigs, doves, rabbits, cats (several litters of kittens considering it was the 90s), dogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, flying squirrels, geckos, fish, etc. Plus all the wildlife on the property such as garter snakes, salamanders, giant bull frogs, giant house spiders, etc. I was raised with free range parenting and a huge curiosity and love for all things living. I learned responsibility and the importance of keeping on top of everything; falling behind in maintenance and care just meant more work in the long run. Learning this lesson is probably why I'm a little addicted to grooming... Don't be surprised if your dog/cat's nails are trimmed or someone gets a bath. Nowadays I have 3 snakes of my own, 2 of which are over ten years old. I have 3 leopard geckos, 4 established aquariums, 2 dogs, and a cat. Because of my dogs, I don't do overnights if they can't come. But I have no aversion to waking up early and being there to do chores at the same time you would every morning. I have a BAS degree and I typically work as an NNA certified notary/loan signing agent (when the economy allows it) and therefore I get background checked every year and I'm happy to show you a copy of the clean report. I'm a real/normal/trustworthy person. I have common sense, I won't bother you unless I have a genuine question or concern. I am happy to provide updates and photo evidence that everything is good while you're away (I appreciate the people that share their WiFi password for sending photos and videos on site) and you'll otherwise be able to rest easy knowing that I have everything taken care of. If you or someone you know could use my services now or in the future, please don't hesitate to contact me. Sometimes it's good to hire someone like me before you need me, you never know when you might need to travel. Thank you for your time, Shelby (Degrees of a circle) 220-twenty-one fifty-one text is preferred.
