My name is Dru, I go by Dru Patrick or Iconic. I have been writing rhymes and rapping since age 12 and always felt the itch for music in my veins. By 16 I was performing at the Sets, Marquee Theatre and various other venues around the value with my former rap group Loop 101. Not to toot my own horn, but I was the member always told to branch out into a solo career and my sound was above my fellow band mates. I picked up the guitar at age 15 so I have a great feel for scales and am the type that hears a dope beat, I can write lyrics on the spot or freestyle. My inspirations range from Bone Thugs to Outkast to Wu Tang but lately feel more melodic as my voice has adapted to a more harmonious rap sound. These days, I listen to Polo G, Juice Wrld, G-Eazy, Da Baby- if I were to pick 4 I would probably aspire to be influenced by. anyone with beats infused with piano, guitar, and hypnotic sounds- I would be the ideal fit for that.
