EVENT: Stranger Than Fiction: A storytelling fundraiser for the High School Journalism Institute, a program that promotes diversity in media by reducing barriers to entry for underrepresented student journalists.  When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 Where: Chapel Theatre, 4107 S.E. Harrison St., Milwaukie Admission: Suggested donation of $5 at the door  Join us for free hors d’oeuvres, a no-host bar and true tales of the strange, odd and spooky, plus music by Portland band Atomic Candles.  All proceeds go to the High School Journalism Institute, a collaboration among multiple Oregon news media outlets and Oregon State University that provides a free, eight-day journalism summer camp for high school students.
