Never been to a Queen Bee event? Here's how it works:
- Approximately 25 "Bees" attend
- There is a 15 minutes meet and greet with drinks and nibbles followed by an educational component: Investing within your limits, having an income plan, and being a tax minimalist with Flora Hull, Founder & Senior Advisor at The Advisory.
- There will be a 10 minute explanation of the evening and "Bees" are asked to join a "Hive" that usually has room for 4-6 people
- At each time, one "Bee" is assigned as the "Queen Bee" and she let's the other "Bees" know about something she needs - this could be anything from looking for a contractor for a remodel, looking for good interns for a summer position, looking for a sales person, looking for new clients (it can be personal, professional, doesn't matter)
- The group selects a "Worker Bee" - she has written down what the "Queen Bee" has asked for and she reads it back to confirm
- Now, "it's time to buzz", and the workers move to the other "Hives" to brainstorm with the how to meet those needs
- The "Worker Bees" rotate through allowing about 3 minutes at each table until they have visited all the "hives" and then another "Queen Bee" from their hive is chosen until all the women have had a chance to be the "Queen Bee"
