B-Against Bullying All-Star Weekend is a Weekend hosted by The Detour Program Inc. a 501c(3) Public Charity geared towards meeting the many needs of school age children and their parents who deal with bullying, low self-esteem, low confidence, and suicidal ideations. We also cater to building and sustaining the whole family system, including but not limited to nutritional needs, career services and financial planning. A One-Stop-Shop for Second Chances and Fresh Starts. We are committed to creating a "Detour" path to success where solutions are at every stop. This years theme is "Bullying Inside the Village". We will discuss the myriad of ways bullying manifests itself in Church, School, Politics and Community Organizations; creating a situation where the very people charged with protecting youth and families are inadvertently inflicting harm. Children and adults need to understand the difference between intent and impact! It’s possible to bully without malicious intent. Self-awareness is hard, but knowing is half the battle. We have dynamic speakers to create the ultimate learning experience . This will be an impactful weekend to help raise awareness and lower the number of families being affected by bullying and/or suicide. We will have vendors on site with programs and resources to help families already affected or looking for ways to prevent it in your home or neighborhood.  Statistics show that a child commits suicide every 33 hours in the state of Ohio.
