No refunds. Is my registration fee or participant ticket transferable? No. How old do I have to be to participate? All participants must be at least 12 years old to participate in any of the Battle of Lake Erie events. Do I have to sign a waiver? Yes. All participants and spectators must sign a waiver. No exceptions. How do I get to the venue? The venue, Noble Axes, is located in the Marketplace building in downtown Sandusky, Ohio. The address is 127 E. Market St., Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Where can I find parking? Street parking is available near the venue (and it's free). There is a parking garage one block away from the venue - 158W W Market St, Sandusky, OH 44870. Can I come to the venue just to watch the tournament? Yes. What about COVID-19? Masks are not required to enter the building. This is subject to change. However, we highly recommend you register prior to this event. What are the tournament rules? Is this event sponsored by Cedar Point? No. What if I have never thrown axes? That is OK! We are welcoming participants of all ages and skill levels to compete in this event. What kind of footwear is permitted? All participants must wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals or heels. Is axe throwing safe? Yes. Safety is our top priority. All participants and spectators must follow the venue's rules at all times. Anyone who does not will be immediately disqualified and asked to leave. All participants and spectators will be briefed on the rules and safety protocols upon entering the venue. Where other axe throwing tournaments and events across the country cater to the best throwers in the world, the Battle of Lake Erie was designed and organized from the beginning to be an axe throwing event for everyone, not just the professionals. The 2nd Annual Battle of Lake Erie Axe Throwing Tournament is returning to Sandusky, Ohio after a successful inaugural event last December.
