American Cancer Society Presents: The Shuck Cancer Classic Volleyball Tournament Co-Ed Quads: AA(Advanced)/A(High Intermediate)/BB(Low Intermediate)/B(Beginner/Social) When: Sunday, October 23rd Check In: 10:00 AM Games Begin: 11:00 AM Cost: $200/team Not interested in competing but still want to support the cause and enjoy a beverage? We also offer a $10 entry option that gets you on the sand and into the bar! Here are some more details about the event and the cause we support! All funds raised from this Volleyball Tournament will go towards Shuck Cancer’s main event on November 17, 2022. Shuck Cancer, in its fifth year, is hosted by our Junior Executive Board of the New Orleans Chapter of the American Cancer Society. This group boasts a powerful emerging affluent and dedicated group of young professionals determined to do their part in the fight against cancer. Shuck Cancer will be hosted at the Mandeville Wharf at Crescent Park in the French Market District of New Orleans. The event offers wine and oyster pairings from across the United States and Canada, three live musical acts, a silent auction and a variety of local brews and spirits. In four short years, Shuck Cancer has grown from 630 attendees and $152,000 raised, to 1400 attendees and $454,000 raised. Our event this year is expecting 2000 people in attendance. All funds raised will go towards transportation grants to local health systems to ensure our local patients are getting to and from treatment.
