Do you know any middle or high school students interested in coding, gaming, or mobile app design? The Congressional App Challenge is here! The Congressional App Challenge is one of the most prestigious computer science competitions aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to develop their own apps and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM. The winning team will have the opportunity to represent El Paso, showcase their app idea in the U.S. Capitol alongside winners from across the country, and get an internship opportunity at Innovare.
Students are invited to attend the first-ever Congressional App Challenge workshop, a half-day event for students to learn the basics of building an app, get tips to create a compelling presentation and receive expert mentorship, hosted by Innovare in partnership with STTE Foundation. Food will be provided!
The purpose of this workshop is to provide students with the resources, tools and support they need to participate and succeed in the Congressional App Challenge, increase representation of El Paso students and inspire them to pursue a career in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
Please share with your students, network and community!
