This work, referred to as “the mermaid sequence,” was inspired by a 1900 painting by John William Waterhouse titled, The Siren. The collection’s eighteen poems explore a wide range of themes: love, longing, regret, confronted by the ecological magnitudes of an apocalyptic, dying world. These poems are now available as a limited edition, handmade chapbook designed and produced by Josh Dannin of Directangle Press. After the performance, all three artists will be available for a Q+A on their various collaborations.
